Kirk O’Farrell from Markquart RV in Ramsey, Minn., envisions considerable sales for this whimsical pink Gulf Stream Coach creation, priced at $25,999 for the event. This charming option is just one of the many contemporary choices for outdoor enthusiasts showcased in the second-year St. Paul RV Supershow, replacing the retired Sportsmen’s Show by Cenaiko Productions in the capital city. Unlike its predecessor, the new show's promoter, Darren Mann of K&D Productions, does not share concerns about crime in the city.
“We’ve always loved the venue,” says Mann. “This is a convenient location for the vendors, and the show has a really good outreach.”
Mann highlights the St. Paul location as a draw for visitors from the metro, southeast Minnesota, and western Wisconsin.
RV Trends
While the Vintage Cruisers exude a 1950s aesthetic, other models resemble contemporary tiny homes more than traditional RVs. Mann notes that manufacturers now offer their interpretations of tiny homes, featuring larger kitchens and bathrooms, electric fireplaces, wallpaper, double bathroom sinks, walk-in closets, multiple USB charging stations, LED lighting, outdoor kitchens, porches, and more. The emphasis is on adding a touch of luxury to the outdoor experience.Mann, now an empty nester after selling his RV dealership, is eager to hit the road with his wife. He shares a preference for the Venture RV SportTrek Touring Edition Luxury Travel Trailer displayed at the show.
Fishing and Fun
For those not in the market to purchase, especially children accompanying their families to the show, Fishing for Life offers a trout pond and other activities to provide a taste of the outdoors within the warmth of the indoor event.“Our goal is to give kids a great experience at this show,” says Chad Lanners, Chief Operating Officer at Fishing for Life.
